Marisa Marzo
Born in Berne, Switzerland on the 22nd February 1969. She graduated in law in 1995 from the University of Milan, with a thesis on intellectual property law entitled ‘The legal regulation of software and its impact on copyright’ (‘La disciplina giuridica del software e la sua incidenza sulla disciplina del diritto d’autore’), thesis supervisor: Professor Giuseppe Sena.
She has been a practising lawyer since 2001 and joined Studio Maffei in 2007 dealing mainly with matters regarding bankruptcy and company law. In 1999 she acted as legal advisor to the legal department of the company Albacom s.p.a.
From 1999 to 2000 she was employed by the legal department of the listed company Albacom, a company operating in the field of telecommunications.
From 2000 to 2004 she was employed by the legal department of the listed company Edisontel s.p.a. (a telecommunications company which forms part of Edison Group) and was involved in the start up of that company.
She has been a practising lawyer since 2004, working as a freelance consultant and was admitted to the Bar in the same year.
Since April 2004 she has been employed by the legal department of Parmalat s.p.a., a company in extraordinary administration; she was appointed to this post as part of the legal structure set up by Dr. Enrico Bondi to handle the extraordinary administration proceedings.
From 2005 to 2007 she was an advisor to Parmalat Group which is currently in extraordinary administration.
