Gianluca Guerrieri
Born in Bologna on the 24th April 1971. He graduated in law summa cum laude in 1994 from the University of Bologna, with a thesis on ‘Company’s control in the civil code and statutes’ (‘Il controllo societario nel codice civile e nella legislazione’). He took up a post in the Faculty of Law in the capacity of expert on commercial law, working alongside Professor Maffei Alberti (his thesis supervisor) and beeing a constant support both in research and university teaching of the latter.
In 2001 he obtained a Ph.D in commercial law at the Bocconi University, Milan, with a thesis on
‘Civil and bankruptcy law profiles in the assignment of company’s credits’ (‘Profili civilistici e fallimentari della cessione di crediti di impresa’).
From 2001 to 2008 he held the post of Professor of Intellectual Property law in the Faculty of Economics, University of Bologna; in 2003 he began teaching at the same university in the Faculty of Law.
In 2006 he obtained the post of Associate Professor and in November 2008 was appointed Professor of Bankruptcy Law with teaching responsibilities in the University of Bologna, Ravenna branch.
Since 2006 he has assisted Professor Maffei in the coordination of the area of commercial law in the Legal Professionals School of Specialisation , ‘E. Redenti’.
In 1998 he was admitted to the Bar and in the same year joined the firm, dealing largely with disputes and the provision of legal advice on company law, intellectual property and bankruptcy.
